What’s the event?

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll be thrown headfirst into a whirlwind of utterly ridiculous tasks and games, all overseen by one of our delightfully unhinged Taskmasters. You’ll battle it out in smaller groups, claw your way to victory, and eventually face off against the other triumphant gremlins… until only one glorious SocialMaster Champion is left standing.

And when you’re not desperately trying to outsmart your fellow contestants, you’ll have plenty of chances to socialise, play board games, party, and accidentally make new friends you’ll be stuck with forever.

Any other cool stuff that is included

Gameplay Overview: The SocialMaster - what are you going to be doing

  • Inspired by the glorious chaos of the TV show Taskmaster
Get ready for nonsense, brilliance, and questionable decision‑making.

  • Players are split into groups of 6–8 before the weekend
These will be your teammates, rivals, hype squad, and sworn enemies — all at once.

  • Each group gets its own TaskMaster for the entire weekend
A charming tyrant who will unleash at least 12 Tasks designed to confuse, delight, and mildly traumatise you.

  • The TaskMaster awards points, however they see fit
Logic is optional. Favouritism is possible. Chaos is guaranteed.

  • At the end of the Tasks, the top player from each group advances
All group winners will face off in a final showdown of pure nonsense

  • Only one will emerge as the ultimate SocialMaster Champion
The winning person in each group at the end of the Tasks will then compete against the winners of the other groups until a SocialMaster champion is crowned.

Prize Pot for the Winner

The ultimate winner at the end of the weekend will win the entire prize pot, together with glory, bragging rights, and eternal fame.

Concerned About Gameplay or Anxiety?

These games are designed to be fun and silly. If you are struggling with any of the tasks throughout the weekend, you can stop, although you won't receive any points for that Task.

Taskmasters and Social Gathering Staff will be on hand to help, though - we design our weekend with everyone in mind

Gameplay Logistics

How many players?

  • Max 64 Players

  • Each group will be split up evenly, with a maximum of 8 groups

Can I be eliminated?

No… and yes… But only at the end. For the main games of the weekend, everybody will take part in at least 12 tasks. After this, there are knockout rounds from the winners of the groups; you may watch the remaining rounds.

What’s the daily schedule like?

  • Most likely 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday & Sunday. There will be large breaks throughout

  • Expect 6 Tasks on Saturday and at least 6 on Sunday, followed by the Knockout rounds.

  • Breaks throughout - this is a social event after all

  • Evening social events so you get to connect and let your hair down with everyone

What if I don’t want to get up at 9 AM?

Coffee or an energy drink of your choice, natural high energy or a designated person to drag you out of bed... Not setting an alarm every 10 minutes for an hour before you have to get up may upset bunkmates.

Early starts are essential to the game timeline, allowing us to pack in all the fun you would expect. If you don’t attend the first game, that could impact the overall experience for other players and will definitely impact your points.

Challenges

This is what the weekend is about.

They will be a lively combination of physical challenges that get you moving and mental games that stretch your imagination, spark your competitive streak, and keep you guessing at every turn.

Evening Socials

  • Friday: Task on Friday night & fun quiz - we will check how much fun you are having

  • Saturday: Themed party night so you can get social and your groove on (getting “groove on” is optional)

  • Sunday: Chill board game night, or high energy board games - how much energy you put into board games is up to you. There is also a  group social
