Gameplay Overview: Gameshows! - What are you going to be doing
-
TBC
We’re still working through the finer details, but we CAN guarantee a weekend of fun, excitement and hilarity!
-
We will be planning games that give the maximum amount of variety, both in the type of game and the size of the groups that play these games. For example, you may be playing a game, competing against all other attendees in the morning that is quiz-based, followed by a more active puzzle game in smaller groups of people in the afternoon
-
We’ll share more details as and when we can!
Concerned About Gameplay or Anxiety?
-
Please don’t be! Firstly, we’ll do everything we can to make the weekend lighthearted, friendly and fun!
-
Our community is one of the friendliest bunch of people you will ever meet and there will always be someone on hand for you to talk to if you’re not feeling your tip-top self!
-
We’ll never make you do something you’re not happy doing. If at any point you’re not feeling it. Please speak to a member of the team
Gameplay Logistics
How many players?
Likely to be around 65. Depending on which gameshow is being played, players may be split into smaller teams across the weekend
Can I be eliminated?
-
No… and yes. Everybody will take part in every gameshow! But we will be looking for a winner or winners of each game.
What’s the daily schedule like?
-
Games won’t start before 9am each day and will end around 5pm Saturday & Sunday. There will be breaks throughout the day to make sure you have the opportunity to mingle with your fellow contestants
-
Expect at least 6 gameshows across the weekend. While we may rotate groups across games, we will ensure that you will be actively involved in game play in both mornings and afternoons across Saturday and Sunday
-
Breaks throughout - this is a social event after all
-
Evening social events so you get to connect and let your hair down with everyone
What if I don’t want to get up at 9 AM?
-
We recommend coffee or an energy drink of your choice. Early starts are essential to the game timeline, allowing us to pack in all the fun you would expect. If you don’t attend the first game, that could impact the overall experience for other players and will definitely impact your points.
The Gameshows!
-
While we can’t tell you what the games will actually be yet, we will be packing in as much variety as we possibly can. Some games will be more physical and some more mentally challenging, with some being just downright silly. We’ll also be looking to play games of different sizes, so you may find yourself playing against 2 or 50 people!
Evening Socials
-
Friday: Nothing too serious and an opportunity to connect with your fellow contestants
-
Saturday: Themed party night so you can get social and your groove on (getting “groove on” is optional)
-
Sunday: Quizshow themed quiz - Your opportunity to dip your toe into some of your favourite panel shows in a quiz with rounds from shows such as Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, QI and much more!
